Handcrafted Glass Jewellery by Roslyn.
Hey, it’s Roslyn here I want to tell you a little bit about
my brand 💗
With mid range prices coupled with uncompromising craft and design, my mission is to encourage people from all walks of life,
to tap into their own innate and deeply human creativity, and artistic expression.
Blurring lines across categories of Art, Sculpture and Fashion, to make Art
enticing and accessible.
As a Glass Artist and Jewellery Brand owner, I blend
traditional Craft with contemporary design, creating playful yet sophisticated,
sculptural jewellery, unique in its individual quirks and personality.
My work blurs lines
between Jewellery, sculpture, and the ancient Art of Adornment. I encourage
artistic expression by inviting the wearer to view themselves as the blank
canvas in which to adorn themselves with shape, form, and texture. Adding interest and intrigue to their own
silhouette.
I am a painter to my core and by nature. It's how I
declutter my mind and create my sense of calm. My intuitive lines and brush
strokes often resemble an otherworldly
version of the natural world around us. I then translate my intuitive lines and
scribbles into sculptural forms through the mesmerising process of lampworking.
The fluidity of the molten glass lends itself to the fluidity of my abstract
paintings.
My love for Jewellery and my understanding of
the sentimental and deeply personal Art of Adornment goes back to family ,
from watching my mother accessorise herself creatively with her own sentimental
and quirky Jewellery.
I studied 3D design and Craft at Manchester Metropolitan
University. In 2021, a couple of years after graduating, I decided to dedicate
myself fully to my craft and build a creative Jewellery brand, which is an
extension of myself. I had a fire in my belly, and my vision paid off.
A stroke of serendipity with being in the rightplace/market, and at the right time, paved the way to collaboration with prestigious
names like Tate, The Design Museum, Royal Academy of Arts, even landing a
limited-edition collection on selfridges.com, and being invited to take part in Pop Ups internationally. My work has been noticed and appreciated by a wholearray of people.
From scrappy beginnings first sculpting pieces in my garage and turning up at markets with just my rings, a chalkboard, and my logo scribbled onto each box
with a sharpie, my brand has evolved into something quite sophisticated,
stocked in established venues, and managing to reach and retain a dedicated cult following who have helped grow Roslyn Studio from a standing start.
Markets and pop ups have and will always be an integral and active part of my brand to connect to my customers on a personal level.
I have recently extended my offering, welcoming you into my bright and beautiful Studio based in Birkenhead, Merseyside.
I want my RS people to have a gorgeous place to come, learn beginner flame techniques, and get creative with me.
Big Love to my whole community. Thank you for being with me on this journey!
Love,
Roslyn 💖🫧🫧
